Even though I was alive during the happening of 9/11 had very little knowledge of it. I was only in second grade when it happened, so I didn't really know what to think of it. Listening to my Mom say what she thought about the happenings and her feelings on it gave me a much more broad view of this subject. Before researching and interviewing my mom I didn't know a lot of things about 9/11, I didn't know there was even a fourth plane, I didn't know that there were two conspiracy theories, I didn't know how to feel about it because I couldn't remember much of it at all.
Being able to hear my mom talk about how it personally affected her made me realize how much fear 9/11 spread through the US and the entire world. People were scared for their families, their friends, and themselves. Having 9/11 happen made every small incident seem large, it made people fear that violence is growing. I am not sure about other peoples perspectives on 9/11 but hearing my moms really opened my eyes.
